The Four Line Pimelodus Catfish, much like the other common cats available, is known for its long, whisker-like barbels and spines that are sure to get caught in almost any net! Their body color is variable, but is usually silver with four darker silver stripes. These catfish are generally peaceful and can be kept in a community aquarium. They may eat very small tetras or similar tankmates, but larger tetras, barbs, rasboras and so on are appropriate. Provide lots of cover like plants for the catfish to retreat to if threatened. These cats are not fussy eaters. They will accept most types of food offered, including frozen or freeze-dried items, flakes, and pellets.
