The Black-banded Demoiselle can be rather timid and has interesting coloration though it is not as bright as some of it's kin. This damsel is pearly white with faint bars on the dorsal half.Damsels are generally very hardy, and make excellent starter fish for new aquariums or add color and activity to an existing system. Use caution when stocking with damsels however, as they are notorious for becoming territorial and some will aggressively defend their area.Damsels will accept almost any types of foods offered, including flakes, pellets, frozen formulas and foods like brine shrimp and clams. Most will also eat some algaes like Caulerpa.
