The Boston Bean Fish is also called the Spotted Trunkfish and is related to puffers and boxfish. As a juvenile, it has dark spots all over a light colored body, but the contrast between the spots and body fades with age. These fish eat inverts like crabs and shrimp and should be fed a variety of meaty foods and greens in the home aquarium. If stressed, they may release a toxin into the aquarium that can be hazardous to itself and tankmates. This is a Restricted item and is not covered by our Arrive Alive 5 Day Guarantee.
