The Bursa Trigger or Black Patch Trigger is tan on top, white below and has a dark brown patch on its belly. It has a brown and blue mask, and a red line seperates the brown and white areas on its face. Triggerfish are rather aggressive and are best kept with fish of similar size and aggression. Their diet should consist of vitamin-enriched meaty frozen foods, shrimp, snails (shell intact) as well as the occasional live food snack. Most triggers can be destructive in a reef set up. Triggers from the genera Balistes and Balistoides are generally the most aggressive species while some triggeres from the Sufflamen , Melichthys , and Xanthichthys genera are planktivores and can even be successful in some reef aquariums. Always use caution when adding a trigger to any aquarium with invertebrates, small fish or passive fish. Care should also be taken to protect equipment like heaters and power cords, as Triggers have been known to bite at some equipment and may cause damage. Also be aware of your own hands in the aquarium - many unwary aquarists have been bitten after they forget to watch their trigger as they clean!217810
