Sebae Anemones tend to be one of the more difficult species to keep. These anemones are often seen as white or very pale specimens with colored tips. It needs more supplemental feedings of meaty foods like plankton, brine shrimp and similar foods. Sebae anemones are very sensitive to water quality, and should be acclimated slowly. They do not have a very strong sting, and will host many types of clownfish as long as the anemone’s other needs are met to keep them healthy. This anemone is safe for all aquariums–freshwater or marine. It is attached to a weighted resin-rock base to ensure “drift-free” placement in any aquatic substrate. The highlighted tips glow in the dark, creating a truly unique visual effect.

Long Tentacle Anemones usually have a red or orange base and tentacles that vary in color from brown to green or striped with white. When first placed in the aquarium, they are known to move around to find the place where they feel they are having all their requirements met. This will normally happen anytime a change is made to their environment. Long tentacle Anemones will need large areas in which to expand their tentacles and should be placed in an aquarium that will allow them to open fully. Once they stay in a particular place, make sure no corals are to close as they may sting the coral in an attempt to keep it out of the territory. Shrimp and other frozen food may be fed to them as a treat. They will also obtain their nourishment from the lights and by pulling fine particulate matter out of the water column. These anemones play host to a variety of clownfish species. This is a Restricted item and is not covered by our Arrive Alive 5 Day Guarantee.

Anemone Shrimp are most easily appreciated in small species tanks. They are transparent with white, purple, and orange markings. These shrimp form symbiotic relationships with anemones and echinoderms using them as protection from predators. They are carnivorous and will feed on meaty bits of food and on the mucus of its host.
